Client Objectives
Barclays places great importance on encouraging and inspiring staff to support causes. Each year, the Chairman’s Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and dedication of these people. We were asked to design a microsite that encouraged staff to nominate themselves or others for the award by inspiring them with case studies of previous winners.
Our Solution
We showcased previous winners in a photo gallery and used Flash and Action Script to create an application to count down to the awards day. We developed streaming video software for Barclays that allows staff to upload videos. We also created a prominent call-to-action to encourage nominations.
Successes and Achievements
Barclays received 311 employee nominations from 24 countries and all across the business. The website was so well received that Barclays won four prestigious W3 awards. Debbie Phillips, the Global Community Manager for Barclays Corporate Affairs, said, “At Barclays, we are proud of our leading community investment programme. cScape has been great in designing dynamic sites that show all the good work that we have done throughout the world.”
