Client Objectives
Barclays' Global Retail and Commercial Banking (GRCB) wanted a new intranet that helped make the CEO Frits Seegers and the management teams more transparent and accessible. They asked us to help them communicate success stories and promote work throughout Barclays, inspiring employees to take an interest in its future strategic direction.
Our Solution
We redeveloped the GRCB homepage and created a microsite dedicated to Frits’ news and other communications with colleagues. We built a new intranet on SharePoint Server 2003 and completely revamped the publishing process. An editorial team now gather content across Barclays’ IT departments, providing a consistent communication channel that is closely aligned with its leadership.
Successes and Achievements
The new, up-to-date intranet clarifies the GRCB IT vision and strategy and gives clients and colleagues a better understanding of the organisation’s role. Over time, it will be an indispensable tool for IT staff to manage their relationship with the rest of the GRCB and an essential resource for departments that need GRCB services.
