Night club, record label and all-round youth culture empire Ministry of Sound has just appointed cScape to build a new website for club lifestyle label Hed Kandi. The new site, due to go online mid-summer, will be one of the first UK websites built in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
The Hed Kandi brand leads the way from the dance floor to stylish bars and living rooms. In keeping with its leading-edge identity, Hed Kandi wants its new site built in Web 2.0. Tools such as blogs and user generated content, which are automated by SharePoint Server 2007, will enable everyone visiting the site to join the Kandi party. cScape is responsible for technical development; front end designs will be provided by Hed Kandi’s in-house team, creators of their stylish album covers.
cScape was proposed by Microsoft as one of only a handful of partners capable of implementing this project in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007. The agency is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and has a close relationship with Microsoft in the UK and the US.
cScape’s mastery of Microsoft’s new technology package was a primary factor in the choice of agency. Its technologists have been studying Microsoft’s new Office System, exploring its functionality and implications for business processes, since its earliest release in 2005.
Hed Kandi is keen to develop online communities and strengthen the connection with its dedicated fans, so cScape’s track record in community development also attracted the label. The agency’s customer-centric approach means that cScape prioritises user needs in general, advocating audience research and focusing on accessibility and usability.
