New research carried out by cScape shows that nearly 90% of organisations surveyed plan to adopt Web 2.0 services over the next twelve months. In addition, over 80% of companies surveyed now consider better customer engagement a key business priority and see new tools such as RSS, wikis and podcasting as an essential part of achieving their aims.
At present, it is believed that organisations without an engagement strategy are only achieving about 20% of their potential to touch their customers.
In response to overwhelming client demand, cScape is hosting an event on the 22nd June that identifies how best to add value to businesses through a customer centric approach.
At the event Richard Sedley, director of cScape’s newly formed Customer Engagement Unit, will be looking at how businesses can achieve quick wins in the context of a long-term engagement strategy. “We want businesses to be inspired by the possibilities of improving customer relationships. We aim to help our clients better understand their customers’ needs and behaviours, and maximise the value of each customer through the application of persuasive design techniques.”
cScape’s event ‘Creating a customer engagement strategy: How to get more out of your web investment’ has been massively oversubscribed. Businesses from the corporate sector including Barclays, Peugeot, The Body Shop and Centrica have requested seats alongside membership and public sector organisations – so much so that a follow-up event has been arranged for early autumn.
