Microsoft offer customers with Software Assurance a pre-paid service delivered by Microsoft partners. The service offers customers 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15 free consultancy days with SharePoint specialists to develop a customised SharePoint 2010 deployment or upgrade plan.

As a partner in the Microsoft SharePoint Deployment and Planning Services (SDPS) programme, we follow a proven Microsoft methodology to architect, plan, deploy and test a successful new SharePoint implementation or version upgrade.

The SharePoint 2010 upgrade planning service is targeted at customers that have already implemented SharePoint and want to get more value from their investment by upgrading to SharePoint 2010.

The packages are as follows:

1 Day

Strategy Briefing Session to introduce SharePoint 2010 and discuss the immediate and future value of moving to 2010

3 Days

Architecture Design Session to document the current 2007 deployment end to end, discuss upgrade options and flag areas of potential concern 5-Days Upgrade Plan to provide formal documentation of the upgrade based on data collected

10 and 15 Days

Proof of Concept development and a readiness assessment
