Jones Lang LaSalle is one of the world’s largest providers of real estate services across a range of sectors including retail.
Challenge
In order for retailers to make investment decisions, they need access to a huge range of macro-economic and shopping centre data. Jones Lang LaSalle’s advisors have access to this data but need to be able to present it in a meaningful, timely and accessible format. Jones Lang LaSalle need to provide this intelligence to help their clients make the best investment decisions possible.

Solution
cScape designed a feature-rich, visually engaging service with the interface optimised for desktop and iPad. We implemented this on a platform developed by BOE Systems. Data is available at European level, country specific, town and shopping centre. Data is displayed in easy to understand charts and plotted onto dynamic maps – using the Google Mapping API.
The project went through the following stages:
- Facilitated client workshops to define the user experience.
- Design concepts optimised aimed at target devices
- Front end development and mapping service integration
- Usability testing with global stakeholders
Outcome
We brought Jones Lang LaSalle retail shopping centre portfolio to life with interactive mapping and data visualisations.
The resulting solution provides consultants with tools to assist clients make the right investment decisions and provides a real competitive edge to the Jones Lang LaSalle Retail business.
