The British Orthodontic Society
The British Orthodontic Society (BOS) is a charity which aims to promote the study and practice of orthodontics, maintain and improve professional standards in orthodontics and encourage research and education in orthodontics. BOS approached cScape to research and define a new digital engagement strategy for the forthcoming 36 months. The remit covered both member services, patients and public education. BOS needed a partnership through which they could understand and segment their audiences and set out a roadmap to improve their digital presence.
Solution
cScape undertook a number of research and discovery activities to understand BOS employee, members, patients and broader site visitor behaviour. A programme of workshops and an extensive online survey targeted at members, patients and allied professionals allowed cScape to identify broad business objectives, user objectives and frustrations with the existing site. From this research, a digital strategy covering promotion, user experience and governance was developed as well as a measurement framework to enable effective monitoring and tactical adjustments. The roadmap includes user experience and design improvements, enhanced social media integration activity, rich media and video, audience participation and member services. cScape were also asked to produce prioritised recommendations for the BOS website based on best practice to meet their objectives.
Outcome
The digital strategy was presented to the BOS board who accepted the recommendations and are currently deciding how best to implement them over the next three years.
